Bob Johns is President of BOLDSITE Media, an OOH advertising company dedicated to reimagining destination media. BOLDSITE works with real estate developers, advertising agencies, and brands to create highly immersive advertising and brand environments in high-traffic public spaces.
Johns is an advertising and media veteran. His career began in 1995 with the global media agency Carat, where he developed his instincts and skills in media strategy, investment, and activation. Bob managed the media business for many leading national advertisers, and then became a lead on Carat’s business development team.
In 2000, Bob transitioned to the media ownership side of the business and joined CBS Outdoor, now named OUTFRONT Media. At OUTFRONT, Bob rose from sales manager of Chicago’s transit division to VP and General Manager of the company’s New York City billboard business. Bob was responsible for sales management, revenue growth, market operations and asset development for OUTFRONT’s large format displays, including the company’s coveted Times Square spectaculars. In this role, Bob formed the relationships with national media agencies and brand marketers that continues to serve him today.
After fifteen successful years at OUTFRONT Media, Bob joined some of his long-time industry partners at BIG Outdoor, where he was named Chief Revenue Officer. In 2019, Bob was named President of BOLDSITE Media, a wholly owned member of the BIG Outdoor family of companies.
Bob is a graduate of the Roy H. Park School of Communications at Ithaca College, with a degree in Television and Radio. He lives with his family in Chappaqua, New York.
